1. The First Book in your collection and the last book you bought
When I was a kid, my dad used to read me fairy tales, so I had some fairy tales books. However, I wasn’t an avid reader like I am nowadays. I didn’t really have many books, and the ones I had were bought by my father so that he could read to me in my bedtime. Actually, as a kid, the only thing I liked was TV. But thank God that has changed.
When I was 12 years old, I went to a Christmas party and someone gave me Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. At first, I was kind of sad. I was a weird kid and I got that book, I was like “OMG, it has such a horrible cover! I will never read it!”. I know, right? I was the one who was being horrible! Now, I really love that cover!
But, anyway, this was the book that shown me that literature is magical (hell yeah). I’m the person I am today thanks to J.K. Rowling and her beautiful world and magnificent characters. This book changed me and I’m so grateful for that because I would probably get lost in this messy world without literature. So, thank you so much, J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter!
By the way, I haven’t read the whole series yet… But I can explain why! It’s because whenever I had money, I always bought other books instead of Harry Potter series. Also, I always thought that I would only read the series if I had my OWN copies… Well, I only had 3 books (the first one, the third one and sixth one). I only got the others this summer thanks to my mum. This means that I’ll have a nice Christmas because I’ll read the whole series once I finish my classes! (I have read the first 3 already, before college started).
In conclusion, I think I can say that the third Harry Potter book is the first one of my collection!
Now, the last book I bought was actually a non-fictional book for college. which is about literature. But I won’t post it here. So, here’s the last fictional book I bought: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
I bought it last month, although I should have bought it earlier because it would have been a good read for October (you know, as an awesome way to celebrate Halloween). But college got in my way and I didn’t read it. Moreover, I only got it in the end of October because I ordered through my local bookstore in the begining of October, but it took three weeks to arrive. Yup…
Anyway, I’m really excited to read it because I’ve heard many good things about this trilogy! It’s in my November TBR list, but I don’t think I’ll read it… I still have to read two bokks for college (I have read half of one of them), and I have to study a lot if I want to have good grades in my last tests of this semester… But maybe I’ll find time to read it. Who knows?
So, that’s it for today! Tomorrow I’ll post the second topic of this book tag! Bye!!
