R.I.P Alan Rickman

This post isn’t going to be huge. After all, I am speechless at the moment. All I can say is that he wasย truly a remarkable actor.ย I do feel sorry that I haven’t watched many of his movies, only the Harry Potter ones, Sense and Sensibility and Love, Actually. However, I alwaysย felt fascinated by his acting, specially how he portrayed Severus Snape. From these movies I’ve watched, my favorites are the last three of Harry Potter saga. He really touched my heart.

Damn, I wish I could say better things than what I’m saying in this post, but as I said, I’m speechless. I wasn’t expecting this, I mean, no one was. I didn’t even know he was fighting against cancer… This monster is winning too many battles…

Anyway, this is the tribute ย I posted on Instagram:

The first thing I saw when I checked Instagram was a photo of Alan Rickman and, in the caption, someone said: RIP Alan Rickman. I couldn't believe it and I even thought it was a sick, bad joke. But then I saw many other people posting more pictures pf him. Then, I turned on the TV and I chose an international channel, and then I saw it: Alan Rickman has passed away. I still couldn't believe it, but then I started to cry. Actually, while I'm writing, I'm feeling my tears trying to leave my eyes. Yes, I am really sad because he was fantastic. I only saw him in the Harry Potter movies and in a Sense and Sensibility book- to- movie adaptation. He was phenomenal, but he really touched my heart in the HP movies, specially in the last ones. This photo is my way to raise my wand. This is a little tribute for him. Alan Rickman, you were perfect as Severus Snape, so I'm posting this beautiful illustration for you. I also chose to take a pic of Half-Blood Prince because of the character you portrayed so beautifully. Thank you, Alan Rickman. Because "after ll this time", I keep saying "Always". Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman. โคโคโค #RIPAlanRickman

Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, posted such a beautiful text about his friendship with Alan Rickman on his Google + page. Really, my heart couldn’t handle it while I read it:

โ€œALAN RICKMAN IS UNDOUBTEDLY ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS I WILL EVER WORK WITH. HE IS ALSO, ONE OF THE LOYALEST AND MOST SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE Iโ€™VE EVER MET IN THE FILM INDUSTRY. HE WAS SO ENCOURAGING OF ME BOTH ON SET AND IN THE YEARS POST-POTTER. Iโ€™M PRETTY SURE HE CAME AND SAW EVERYTHING I EVER DID ON STAGE BOTH IN LONDON AND NEW YORK. HE DIDNโ€™T HAVE TO DO THAT. I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WHOโ€™VE BEEN FRIENDS WITH HIM FOR MUCH MUCH LONGER THAN I HAVE AND THEY ALL SAY โ€œIF YOU CALL ALAN, IT DOESNโ€™T MATTER WHERE IN THE WORLD HE IS OR HOW BUSY HE IS WITH WHAT HEโ€™S DOING, HEโ€™LL GET BACK TO YOU WITHIN A DAYโ€.ย PEOPLE CREATE PERCEPTIONS OF ACTORS BASED ON THE PARTS THEY PLAYED SO IT MIGHT SURPRISE SOME PEOPLE TO LEARN THAT CONTRARY TO SOME OF THE STERNER(OR DOWNRIGHT SCARY) CHARACTERS HE PLAYED, ALAN WAS EXTREMELY KIND, GENEROUS, SELF-DEPRECATING AND FUNNY. AND CERTAIN THINGS OBVIOUSLY BECAME EVEN FUNNIER WHEN DELIVERED IN HIS UNMISTAKABLE DOUBLE-BASS.ย AS AN ACTOR HE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST OF THE ADULTS ON POTTER TO TREAT ME LIKE A PEER RATHER THAN A CHILD. WORKING WITH HIM AT SUCH A FORMATIVE AGE WAS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT AND I WILL CARRY THE LESSONS HE TAUGHT ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE AND CAREER. FILM SETS AND THEATRE STAGES ARE ALL FAR POORER FOR THE LOSS OF THIS GREAT ACTOR AND MAN.โ€

And he also posted this photo with this caption: “I like this photo. It was taken, if I’m not mistaken, while rehearsing a scene where Alan clipped me and Rupert round the back of a head with a book. We all, apparently, found this hard to do without laughing.”

Well, today is a sad day, my friends….

Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman. You were superb, you were perfect as Severus Snape, and of course I bet you were amazing in other roles you played. We will ALWAYS remember you.
