So, January was a really nice month for books! Well, at least, for getting them because I only read 3 books (I started The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on 31st January and I will finish it today-1st February- but let’s count it as a January read, shall we?)…
Anyway, this was a good month for books because I turned 19 on 19th January and, of course, I got books, like these ones:
Those two books on the bottom row (yellow book and white book) are the only ones I bought in January. The others are birthday gifts.
I’m going to leave here synopses of some books. There are three books in this photo that don’t have English editions, so I’m not going to post their synopses here.
For those that have synopses, just click on the titles:
The ones that don’t have translation are the white book, the grey book and the blue and yellow book. They are all Portuguese books. Blindness, by José Saramgo, is indeed a Portuguese book as well, but it’s available in English because the author is a Nobel winner (1998) and also one of the greatest authors that Portugal has ever had, so he does have many books translated in many languages.
So, have you read any of these books? If so, did you like them? Did you get many book in January?
