Book Traveling Thurdays- Share the Love!

168709 Book Traveling Thursdays is a weekly meme that was created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. All you have to do is to post covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group. You have to post the original cover, the one that exists in your country, and finally your favorite covers and least favorite ones.

This week’s theme is: Share the Love!! Choose an underhyped book that you think everyone should read.

HOLY CRAP! IF YOU HAVEN’T, YOU SHOULD TOTALLY READ ENDGAME-THE CALLING, BY JAMES FREY AND NILS JOHNSON-SHELTON! It’s such an amazing Sci-Fi book and if you have heard people saaying that it’s like The Hunger Games, DON’T LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE SO WRONG BY SAYING THAT IT’S A COPY OF THG! IT’S NOT, I PROMISE!

Anyway, I’m definitely going to leave here the Goodreads synopsis:

Twelve thousand years ago, they came. They descended from the sky amid smoke and fire, and created humanity and gave us rules to live by. They needed gold and they built our earliest civilizations to mine it for them. When they had what they needed, they left. But before they left, they told us someday they would come back, and when they did, a game would be played. A game that would determine our future.

This is Endgame.

For ten thousand years the lines have existed in secret. The 12 original lines of humanity. Each had to have a Player prepared at all times. They have trained generation after generation after generation. In weapons, languages, history, tactics, disguise assassination. Together the players are everything: strong, kind, ruthless, loyal, smart, stupid, ugly, lustful, mean, fickle, beautiful, calculating, lazy, exuberant, weak. They are good and evil. Like you. Like all.

This is Endgame.

When the game starts, the players will have to find three keys. The keys are somewhere on earth. The only rule of their Endgame is that there are no rules. Whoever finds the keys first wins the game. Endgame: The Calling is about the hunt for the first key. And just as it tells the story of the hunt for a hidden key, written into the book is a puzzle. It invites readers to play their own Endgame and to try to solve the puzzle. Whoever does will open a case filled with gold. Alongside the puzzle will be a revolutionary mobile game built by Google’s Niantic Labs that will allow you to play a real-world version of Endgame where you can join one of the lines and do battle with people around you.

Will exuberance beat strength? Stupidity top kindness? Laziness thwart beauty? Will the winner be good or evil? There is only one way to find out.

Play.
Survive.
Solve.
People of Earth.
Endgame has begun.

There are readers that say that this book is like a copy of The Hunger Games only because it’s a Sci-Fi book and also because it has 12 teenagers, you know, that come from 12 different places. Also, they are in some sort of game. Therefore, people that HAVE NEVER READ the book, say this crap. I can tell you that they are wrong! So wrong! It’s not a copy of THG! I LOVE THG, and I can tell you that Endgame is NOT a copy. If it was, I would be mad, okay? Period.

I hope I don’t sound like a rude person! It’s just that it doesn’t make sense that there are people saying these stupid things about a book they didn’t even read!

Original cover: This books is published in many countries and I think each one of them decided to keep the original cover and just do some little changes. The cover is so cool, by the way!

The Calling (Endgame, #1)

Cover from your country (Portugal): See? Portugal kept the original cover. Thank God! I love it! I actually prefer the yellow of this cover!

Favorite cover: Once again, Portuguese cover!

Least Favorite Cover: There are no least favorite covers for this one because they all look the same.

Special one: I have told you that the covers, in other countries, look the same, but I found out that the Chinese one is totally different. They only kept the symbol, but it still looks cool!!

絕境之戰 首部曲 召喚

So, what your choice? What is the underhyped book that you think everyone should read?
